The answer is Gili Meno. The official name is The Nest.

How do I go swimming at the Gili Meno underwater sculpture?
If you stay on Gili Meno, you can go snorkeling from one of Gili Meno’s beaches. This beach is on the west coast near the BASK hotel.
Finding the sculpture is easy; they’re located where there are plenty of people on the surface and many boats around them.
If you’re staying on Gili Trawangan, on Gili Air, or on Lombok, you’ll have to go by boat.
The statues aren’t deep; it’s possible to stand on their heads (except at very high tide).
Warning: The current can be very strong, and there are many boats around.
Origin of the sculpture
This is a work of art by Jason deCaires Taylor.
It was funded by the BASK Hotel, which was under construction at the time. It was installed in 2017.
The cement used for these statues has a neutral pH so as not to disturb the local marine environment.
Success of the Gili Meno sculpture
Since 2017, these statues have been a great success; they have become a consistently popular snorkeling spot.
They are victims of their notoriety; many people spend all day above the statues. The boats they came in are around them.
How to avoid the crowds at the underwater statues in the Gili Islands?
To avoid being among large crowds, there are two options:
- Get there before the crowds, which is why we offer snorkeling tours departing at 7 a.m. for 2 hours and 4 hours tours.
- During the very low season, there may be fewer people, although this is not guaranteed.
